Synthetic, alternative to leather materials (imitation leather) are similar in appearance and feel to real leather and offer excellent physical characteristics both in terms of workmanship and resistance over time.

Cristian Copponi shoe factory is located in Corridonia, in the center of the footwear and leather district of the provinces of Fermo and Macerata. Together with our craftmen, we choose only the best materials for the production of our shoe collections to maintain the quality of our products always at the highest level. We do not use imported materials for the production of Made in Italy shoes.
The shoe upper and linings of Copponi’s factory are made of hides and natural calf leather of national origin. Even the sole and insoles are of Italian origin and produced by the best Italian leather factories.
All the leathers selected for the summer and winter collections are carefully chosen from local or Italian suppliers and comply with strict standards of control and quality.
On customer request, we can make shoes in a wide variety of materials and leathers, including crocodile, python, ostrich, suede, etc.
The soles can be made using leather alternatives, in rubber or memory foam. More specifically:
- TR (thermoplastic rubber)
- PVC (polyvinyl chloride)
- TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane)
- EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) foam
- Or combining different materials.

Fussbett and insoles
In the manufacture of footwear we use a wide range of footbeds, toe caps, counters, heel pads and insoles, in natural, alternative and synthetic materials.
Leather insoles offer excellent comfort and adapt quickly to the shape of the foot, but we can also offer insoles in fabric and other natural materials, as well as synthetic insoles in polyurethane or PU, polyethylene foam, EVA foam and TNT, just to name a few.
